Is called a greenhouse effect to the phenomenon for which certain gases
components of a planetary atmosphere retain part of the energy that the soil expresses by virtue of his warming for the solar radiation. Itconcerns all the planetary bodies provided with atmosphere. In agreement with the current scientific consensus, the greenhouse effect is meeting accentuated in the Earth for the emission owed to the economic human activity, of certain gases, as the dioxide of carbon and the methane.
For his similar one, this name is applied to the effect produced by the absorption in the terrestrial atmosphere of the infrared radiations expressed by the surface, preventing that they escape to the exterior space and increasing, therefore, the everage temperature of the planet. This phenomenon prevents that the heat of the Sol got for the Earth leaves the atmosphere and returns to the space, producing to planetary scale an effect similar to the observed one in a greenhouse.
